EDDIE MORT

Eddie Mort was born and raised in Manchester, England and is best known for 'Mucha Lucha!', the Warner Bros animated series that reached a worldwide audience on Cartoon Network.  His interest in the cultural phenomenon known as Lucha Libre has taken him to Mexico and Los Angeles where he lived and worked for fifteen years.    

 

As well as magazine, film and television work, Eddie has also illustrated two books for Penguin ('Gorilla Sandwich' and 'It's A Long Way To The Top').  He has also written and designed a novel of his own, 'The Kinky Kasperovich Konundrum'.

With an interest in British subcultures - especially Mod, Ska/Two Tone and Punk - Eddie has been developing a series of prints featuring his characters set against iconic Brighton landmarks.  The series culminated with an exhibition at Brighton's Hotel Pelirocco in September, 2019.

Now living in Brighton, Eddie has found new areas of inspiration for his stories, animation and  characters.
